A total number of 591 students were admitted in 2014/2015 academic session, and took their matriculation oath at the Federal University Gashau, Zamfara State on Tuesday, 28th July, 2015.

Speaking at the event, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Benchucks Okeke, said among all the newly established universities, the Federal University Gusau is the only one having a permanent site which is a record of remarkable physical development.

He said the university has three faculties, 17 departments and 27 courses of various degree courses.

Okeke assures the fresh students of excellent and high quality training for all the programmes, but, however, urged the students to work hard for their personal success, considering the huge investment by both federal and state governments.

The VC added that the academic sessions had already commenced for the 2014/2015 academic session with admission of first set of students at 100 level and those now matriculated and qualified as bonafide students of the university.
