Abuja Teachers NUC Chapter Has Call Off Strike

Recently the news reaching us today says; The industrial action embarked upon by the
Federal Capital Territory (FCT) chapter of the
Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT) has been suspended.

The government school teachers called off
the strike on Monday following government’s resolve to address the issues raised by the union.

It was revealed that the government has
promised to tackle the problems starting
with the promotion of about 689 teachers
and the payment of the 27.5 percent
teaching allowance.

Academic activities is already ongoing at
different schools in the FCT when reporters
went round.
