UNILAG Appoints Ogundipe new DVC

University of Lagos, UNILAG appointed Professor Oluwatoyin Ogundipe Deputy Vice-Chancellor (DVC), Academic and Research.

He was until his new appointment, the Director of Academic Planning , University of Lagos and a member of many scientific organisations.

The institution’s Deputy Registrar, Information, Mr Toyin Adebule, said this in a statement made available in Lagos.

He said that Ogundipe of the university’s Department of Botany, Faculty of Science, would succeed Prof. Babajide Alo,
the immediate past Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic and Research.

His appointment took effect from Friday, April 1, 2016. His appointment is in accordance with the provision of the University of Lagos Act (1967) as specifically amended in Section 4 and 5 in the University (Miscellaneous Provision) Act 1993. It is sequel to his nomination and election at the University Senate Meeting held on Wednesday, March 30, 2016.
