A total number of Fifty-nine students of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State, has benefited from a scholarship award worth N3.5 million sponsored by the OAU Muslim Graduates’ Association.

This was during the annual reunion
convention of the association held at the
university.

The National President of the association,
Prof. Abdul Egbewole, who noted that
previous beneficiaries of the scholarship
programme had performed excellently, said
the organisation had given scholarships
worth N17.56m to students of the
institution since inception.

He said the association, founded about two
decades ago, was aimed at educating the
public on social ills.

In response to this gesture, the Deputy Vice-
Chancellor (Academics) of OAU, Prof.
Ayobami Salami, said, “For many years they
have been consistent and exceptional in
awarding scholarships to students. If we
have five or six of them, the story will not
be the same.”
